Behavioral Expectations:
I would like students to come ready to learn every day. I would also like them prepared to the day that means, homework is ready to be turned in as well with anything else that needs to be turned in. We will be using technology throughout the class and I would like students to be ready and excited for the day's activity that we will be doing.
Late Work:
Late work is expected but not encouraged. I am willing to extend homework if it is needed for emergency situations. If late work is a continuous thing I will call to set up an appointment with you to meet and discuss the late homework problem and we can try and figure out a solution together. Late work will be the loss of one point on the assignment for every day it is late unless discussed previously with me.
Extra Credit:
There will be opportunities for extra credit throughout the class. When there is an opportunity I will email out the information.
Tardiness/Absents:
If you student is tardy I will put their work that they missed in their cubby for them to grab and make up at home to return the next day. If your student is going to be absent for the day I will collect all their classwork and put it in their cubby for them to grab the next day. If this is a planned absent for more then one day, I will prepare all their classwork/homework that they will miss and send it home for them to do and will expect it to be returned when they return to class. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me.
Homework:
Homework will be sent home in a packet at the beginning of each week. The packet will include the spelling list for that week and worksheets for each night. I would recommend having your students practice the spelling words each night as well as complete a worksheet in the packet each night. There will also be a sheet whereas the parent you will have to sigh off that they read for 20 minutes each night.
Tutoring:
If you feel that your student needs extra help please fell free to contact me and we can set something up.
