Grading

How Students Will Be Graded:
During class assignments, they will be graded out of how many questions we did for the assignment. For example, if we did a worksheet out that had 5 questions on it the assignment would be out of 5. Spelling test is graded out of 10 with an opportunity to get a bonus point with the bonus word for the week. Homework packets will be checked for completeness. If they are completed they will get the full points for it. I require all students to write in their very best handwriting on all assignments if handwriting is not eligible they will lose 1 point.

Quarter Grades:
At the end of each quarter, a grade report will be sent home letting you know how your student did for the quarter. On the grade report, there will be E for exceeds expectations, M for meets expectations, N for needs works. I will also hold parent-teacher conferences at the end of each quarter to go over your child's grades with you.  I have an open door policy if you are concerned about your student's grades please fell free to set up an appointment with me.
